What Are Headaches & Migraines?
Migraines are severe headaches that can cause debilitating pain, nausea, hypersensitivity to light and sound, and visual aura symptoms such as tunnel vision. While scientists have not discovered the specific causes of migraines, they believe nerves and blood vessels are involved.
TMJ
“TMJ” is short for the temporomandibular joint, and TMJ disorders are frequently shortened to simply the TMJ acronym. This disorder causes pain and limited jaw movement, and the cause is usually difficult to determine and may be due to various factors. While the pain and discomfort of TMJ can impact quality of life, the good news is that usually it is only temporary and can be self-managed or treated non-surgically. You should see a doctor if you have jaw pain and tenderness or your jaw locks, making it difficult to open or close the jaw.
Symptoms of TMJ include:
- Jaw pain or tenderness
- Clicking of the jaw
- Aching and pain in the ear
- Facial pain
- Locking of the jaw, making it difficult to open or close the mouth

Depending on the type of head pain you suffer from and its cause (if one can be identified), treatments vary. We offer nerve blocks to regulate nerve signals triggering headaches, muscle injections to curb spasms, trigger point injections to alleviate muscle knots that restrict blow flow, and other types of injections to reduce inflammation.
